Since Direct Deposit (DD) is done electronically, your payments are processed faster compared to writing a physical check. That saves you time and resources and makes it convenient for employees and contractors as well.
As of 5/10/19, debits for QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP/QBFSP) customers will always occur on your pay date.
NOTE: For QuickBooks Full Service Payroll, direct deposit payrolls can be submitted and approved up until 7:00 AM PT Friday (assuming Friday is the payday).
